Welcome to The Russo Block, my name is Anthony A. Russo. I am a computer engineering student transferring to UC Santa Cruz. I interest myself in computer technology and charity. I hope you enjoy your visit.
In a world where electronics are created from limited natural resources and questionable
outsourced labor it is my dream to one day create versatile, innovative, and
repairable technology. Such technology is reusable,
job-creating, and more democratic, all necessary traits in our modern world.
Beyond the plug outlet I aim to nurture a world sympathetic to the needs of abandoned
and injured animals, typically cats in my case. I often volunteer at local animal
rescues such as MeowCo. and accured over
500 volunteer hours while also fostering
fourteen cats during the first eight months of 2020.
Whenever I need time to relax I can often be found participating in one
of my favorite activies.
Going for a walk with my cat, Cosmo, is a sure-fire way to
clear my head and give Cosmo time in the sun. Though it may sound strange to walk a cat
Cosmo is well enough behaved to make things work. She enjoys smelling the grass and
watching birds while I enjoy seeing her wander and chirp around.
Sometimes I find myself in an awkward span of time that is too short to warrant working
on a project, but too long to merely wait out. Playing a round or two of one of my favorite
video games is usually a fun way to pass such moments.
I also enjoy reading issues of National Geographic, IEEE Spectrum, and even some manga
or browsing the internet for keyboard accessories and Tyranitar Pokemon cards.
